Podcast Today and AC 100

ANGELES CREST: We are so sorry to learn the race was canceled due to fires. We know many of you are looking for a 100 mile to replace this race. GTR races is going to extend the cut off to sign up until this Thursday Sept. 3rd. 12pm MST!If there is anything we can do to help, let us know.www.tetonraces.com

Today on the pod cast Sister Marybeth spoke about how to train when you are short of time or short on space!

If you have 15-20 min. is it worth it? If you would have asked me a few years ago I would have said NO WAY..today..yes, yes, yes. You can make the most of your time.
Jumprope, jumping jacks, step ups on a chair or stair, step downs, running up and down a flight of stairs, mountain climbers, using a rebounder....Do sets like this:
jumprope for 1-2 min. then do 20 jumping jacks, 20 mountain climbers, 20 step ups, 20 step downs...repeat until you hit 18 min. Then stretch for 2 min.

Is it worth is to you??? It is to me.
I am making a video and photos with descriptions of the MANY exercises I do in my classes and on my own. Get ready..so fun!

Happy Monday!

Doing these podcasts is a real honor for me and I am happy to share anything I have ever learned in life..does not mean I know it all..shoot we all learn everyday from each other!

Next Monday Aug. 31st: Sister Marybeth and I will team up for this broadcast. Sister Marybeth is here in the Tetons to do many presentations AND also to run the GTR 50 mile race!!! Go Sissy Marybeth!

Desiderata

Go placidly amid the noise and the haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence.
As far as possible, without surrender,be on good terms with all persons.

Speak your truth quietly and clearly;and listen to others, even to the dull and the ignorant;they too have their story.

Avoid loud and aggressive persons;they are vexatious to the spirit.
If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain or bitter, for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.

Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans.Keep interested in your own career, however humble;it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.
Exercise caution in your business affairs, for the world is full of trickery.

But let this not blind you to what virtue there is;many persons strive for high ideals, and everywhere life is full of heroism.

Be yourself. Especially do not feign affection.

Neither be cynical about love, for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment,it is as perennial as the grass.
Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth.

Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune.

But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings.

Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.
Beyond a wholesome discipline,be gentle with yourself.

You are a child of the universeno less than the trees and the stars;you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you,no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.
Therefore be at peace with God,whatever you conceive Him to be.

And whatever your labors and aspirations,in the noisy confusion of life, keep peace in your soul.
With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams,it is still a beautiful world.

Be cheerful.

Strive to be happy.
