Hi Lisa,
Great link- Bryon is such a phenomenol runner (and writer!) Did you know that he is pacing Kilian Jornet during next week's "Kilian's Quest: The Tahoe Rim Trail"?

Bryon has written a bit about Kilian, but Kilian is the Tiger Woods of mountain running, and a healthy cross between a running freak and a legend. This type of athlete only comes along once in a lifetime.

He started ski mountaineering in 1999 and was competing in the Spanish Cup by 2000. In 2003 he became a junior member of the Spanish national ski mountaineering team, and has raced as a senior since 2007. But Kilian is not just a skier.

He's the defending champion of the Sky Running World Series (pulverizing the UTMB two years in a row), and is now embarking upon a year-long tour of some of the biggest trail running challenges in the world. He is calling his endeavor Killian's Quest.

His first task was to go to Corsica and run the island's famed GR20 trail, which traverses the entire island. He took HOURS off the course record.

Now he's got his sights set on our own home front: on September 28th, he'll be lining up in Tahoe City to take on the sick 165 miles of the Tahoe Rim Trail. Trail legend Tim Tweitmeyer holds the current record of just under 46 hours, and another young gun of ultrarunning, Tony Krupicka, predicts that Kilian will go well under that.

I should also mention that he is only 21.

The kid might be one of the fittest people on the planet with a knack for pretty much any sport in the world. He is about to blow away American trail running.

Anyhow, I thought you might be interested in hearing about this. Give me a shout if you'd like any additional information.

Cheers,
Devon
