Come on with me and run for a PURPOSE!!!!!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!

A LITTLE BIT OF HISTORY
All of you know that my running is all done for a purpose! Please check out the 810 web site:
http://www.lisas810.com/ This year I raised over $535,000 for Aids Orphans! I can't tell you how this makes my heart sing. I thank all of those who supported me on and off the road.

"Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much"!

I have been blessed with so much in my life. I want you to all consider for the New Year to run with a purpose and for a purpose.

The Dreamchasers Foundation is close to being completed but you can start now to raise money. 100% of ALL money raised will go right to the kids. We are one of few where all the money goes to the cause. Our mission statement is below. Below the statement is how you can have your own webpage set up and start raising money! Our wonderful friend Marianne has offered to set up the webpages for anyone who will run for the Aids Orphans! I hope you will consider coming on board and helping me continue to carry the torch to save many, many children.

THE DREAMCHASER FOUNDATION
*Mission statement*: The Dreamchaser Foundation is dedicated to raising funds to help women and children in need survive and succeed, to improve the quality of their lives and dramatically change their future and the future of the next generation. We encourage athletes in all sports to fundraise while fulfilling their own dreams.

HOW YOU CAN GET STARTED
You can easily have your own online donation page for your next race or event to benefit the Dreamchasers Foundation and AIDS Orphans Rising. We can give you your very own webpage with a unique URL which you can send to folks to donate online. You don't need to set anything up-- no PayPal or other things to worry about.

Here's how it works. We've set up a campaign where all the money donated from everyone's event goes directly to AIDS Orphans Rising. If you'd like to do your own fundraising for the charity, simply e-mail me at lisa@dreamchaserevents.com to let me know you are committed to helping. I will put you in touch with Marianne and then it’s a simple set-up process. Marianne will plug the information into a template and voila-- you've got a webpage!

I love you all and hope you will consider coming on board and helping us save many, many children. I ask you to please pass this blog post to anyone who you might feel would want to join us. You can make a difference, we all can.

God Bless you and keep you safe.

Lisa

I'm in Lisa! I am blessed with so many wonderful kids in my life: Bella, Gabby and Nina (she met Santa this weekend for the first time: http://www.flickr.com/photos/ginnyandjohn/3123965362/ ) and the thought that many other kids have to suffer and go without is not fair. Thanks for inspiring me to take this jump!

Lisa,
You can count me in as well for 2009 I will run my heart out and raise as much money for Aids Orphans Rising as possible.
I will need to look to you, the good sister Marybeth to lead me in the right direction.
This has given me the kick in the butt that I needed. Doing something for kids that need help means a great deal to me.
You touch so many. Thank you.

I am going to try to run to summit of Kilimanjaro and will be raising money for kids. The time I spent with you and Sister last year on running portion of 810 was amazing. I would ask Sister to join me on kilimanjaro except I couldn't keep up with her

Thanks Lisa,

All my running and biking endeavors from 2009 and beyond will be fund raising events for the sisters! If there's a better charity, I can't imagine what it would be! My daughter is a Peace Corps Volunteer in Honduras. I've been fortunate enough to visit her twice and see how people live in third world countries. They need our help and these sisters are doing wonderful things! Plus, I owe you, big time for training me in 2001 to run across the country for diabetes. You trained me in 10 months to run a marathon a day from San Diego to Washington D.C. All local trainers here in Cincinnati said it would take me 3 years to get in that kind of shape. You trained me via phone and email for 10 months. I succesfully ran 114 marathons that summer with ZERO injuries! You are AWESOME! Running is more inspirational when we run for a wonderful cause. Count me in. I'll look forward to setting up a website, or page, as soon as possible. I'm running a marathon each month in 2009. I'm also riding in the RAGBRAI bike ride next July. I'll wear a shirt that I have made with this cause and website at each event. I'll also have some business cards printed with the sister's website, or your's, whichever you prefer, directing people where they can contribute.

Knowing you has changed my life.

Thanks!

Lisa,

I am so glad that this opportunity to run to raise money for the kids has come about. It is definitely something I feel passionately about and the opportunity to combine running with such a worthwhile cause is ideal. I am fortunate that I can run. When the going gets tough I know being a part of this will give me the strength I need to make it through for those in need.

Thank you and I look forward to a great year working with you and raising funds.

The thanks goes to you Lisa, for inspiring and motivating all of us!
You're awesome! Thanks again! Really looking forward to running for this cause and hopefully meeting somewhere, sometime this year with you and the others who are doing the same. Maybe at one of your training camps? Or at a running event somewhere this year where we can all run together for the same cause!
