Morocco. I do not like the cold. Why do I live in Colorado???

  4. It is amazing for me to think of 2 friends doing such different things at the same time.
I love the desert but I also love winter sports. I would personally rather be hot for many days in a row then cold!
Colorado..they are getting some great snow, same as we are here.
Maybe put a sled with your training:)
    Good night

  5. Both - Love the heat and the cold. I've adapted to both between living in VT and GA. Although not the desert or the pole, would welcome the challenge. You’re not living if not exploring your limits!

  6. I've been thinking the ultimate endurance test would be doing the Brazil 135 in the jungle rainy season, then the next week, the Arrowhead 135 in 50 below.

    I'd pick Morroco. Better coffee.

  7. Home in NJ with my wife and sons.

But if I had no responsibility and could get away to either of these great locations, I'd choose Antartica in a second!

    Hi Lisa,
What a surprise to see myself on your blog!
Oh my, I wish I was back in Bahrain...
Arrived in Vancouver on Monday where it was -9C, what a shock to my desert acclimatised body! Caught a cold 2 days later.
Am now in Whistler where it's -16C and expecting a snow dump tonight and tomorrow. Needless to say, my training miles is down this week. Will have to do a few runs in the gym before I brave the subzero temps ;)
    Have a wonderful Christmas!!
    Love,
    Tess
